For those who did not know Laurie Waltke, she was a very generous and beautiful person who contributed financially, physically and emotionally to the Sugarette team. Laurie lost a courageous battle with cancer and now has her healing in heaven.

Many years ago, the team found themselves in need of new practice outfits. Unfortunately, the team could not afford to purchase new leotards for each member. In true Laurie fashion, Laurie Waltke stepped in and purchased new leotards for the entire team. As the girls grow out of the team leotards, they are passed down to other team members.

Laurie’s Leos has grown from that one idea— to  carry on Laurie's generosity. The idea is simple, passing on twirling gear (leos, costumes, batons, etc.) at a discounted rate in order to help out our twirlers financially. For items that were purchased by the team, proceeds will be donated back to the Sugarettes.
